Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2026
This policy explains what idaete collects, why, and the choices you have. idaete.com is operated by Gaurav Yadav, sole proprietor, India (“idaete”, “we”, “us”). Questions or requests: gaurav@idaete.com.
What we collect
We try to collect as little as possible. Depending on how you use the site, that may include:
- Account details — if you create an i.Pro account: your name, email address, and a password (stored only as a secure hash; we never see it).
- Payment information — if you buy a membership or a Resource Library item, checkout and billing are handled by our payment processor (SureCart, using Stripe). Card details go directly to them; we do not store or see your card number.
- Email address — if you subscribe to our newsletter, handled through Brevo.
- Usage data — basic, mostly-aggregate analytics about pages visited, to understand what’s useful.
- On-device data — reading preferences and guest bookmarks are stored in your own browser (local storage) and are not sent to us.
- Cookies — see our Cookies page.
How we use it
To run your account and membership, deliver purchases and downloads, send the newsletter you asked for, keep the site secure, understand what content resonates, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information.
Advertising
idaete shows ads to support free content. We use Google Ad Manager and Google AdSense.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to idaete and other websites.
- Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to our site and/or other sites on the internet.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies at aboutads.info.
- If you are in the EEA or UK, we ask for your consent before personalised ads are served, through our consent banner.
- i.Pro members do not see ads.
Who we share it with
We share data only with the service providers that make the site work, each acting on our behalf:
- Hostinger — website hosting.
- Brevo — newsletter email delivery.
- SureCart / Stripe — payments and billing.
- Google (Ad Manager, AdSense, and any analytics) — advertising and measurement.
We may also disclose information if required by law. That’s it — no data brokers, no selling lists.
How long we keep it
Account and purchase records are kept while your account is active and as long as needed for legal and accounting purposes. Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe. You can ask us to delete your data at any time (see below).
Your rights
Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and — if you are in the EEA/UK — the GDPR, you can request access to the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, withdraw consent, or object to certain processing. To exercise any of these, email gaurav@idaete.com and we’ll respond within a reasonable time.
Children
idaete is intended for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under the age required by their local law.
Changes
We may update this policy as the site evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new “last updated” date.
